Job Purpose 

Supervises the efficient and profitable implementation of production plans in accordance with HSE standards.

Job Dimensions 

The plant coordinator is responsible for making and implementing the production plan based on the plant manager’s instruction; He will manage the shift supervisors to achieve the production target.

Key relationship: This position will work with plant engineer, maintenance coordinator, maintenance team, production scheduling team, CM planning team, HSE team internally.

He will work with Plant Engineer & Plant Manager to make decision of production plan adjustment, or plant startup & shutdown schedule.

Principal Accountabilities 

1. Responsible for the achievement of the daily production/operations plans, meeting product quality specifications and HSE standards.
2. Sets priorities and provides key operations input to plant maintenance plans and activities, liaising with appropriate departments.
3. Sets and reviews targets for the operating team, based on agreed objectives.
4. Ensure sufficient manpower in each shift, and make back up plan for shift team.
5. Develops and/or approves plant operating procedures covering normal and emergency situations.
6. Measures actual plant performance, and advises on means for improvement of operations and equipment reliability.
7. Plans and organizes commissioning plant modification projects.
8. Assists in the preparation of the operating budget, which generally includes labour, energy, process materials, general material and utilities.
9. Ensure ESP program be implemented well by check shift handover, shift log, site surveillance, shift orientation and alarms.
10. Ensure routine checks/records be conducted well (both on schedule and quality) by shifts.

Qualifications & Experience

1. Educational background:
• Technical secondary school or above.
2. Work experience:
• Previous working experience in a Joint Venture environment would be considered a plus.
• Minimum 10~15 years operations experience for non-graduates or minimum 5 years operations/technology experience for engineering graduates.
3. Language proficiency:
• Proficient written and spoken English.
4. PC skills:
• Proficient in PC skills.
